
2025 Curriculum Workshop: Aligning the D3 Finance and Banking Curriculum with Industry Demands and Global Challenges
Bandar Lampung, June 13, 2025 – To enhance the relevance of the curriculum to the needs of industry and business sectors, the Diploma III Finance and Banking Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Lampung, held a 2025 Curriculum Workshop at the Student Center Building of FEB Unila.
This event invited strategic stakeholders such as alumni, representatives from the banking and fintech sectors, academics, and local government officials as part of the program’s commitment to implementing an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework and supporting the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy.
🎙️ Highlights of Stakeholder Feedback:
PT. Indoprima Beef (Weni Wijayanti – Alumna) emphasized the importance of students’ ability to absorb theoretical knowledge and apply it practically, supported by strong character, analytical skills, and execution ability.
Bank Mandiri (Rudi Johansyah – Alumnus) highlighted opportunities for collaboration through public lectures on financial literacy and investment, as well as the possibility of student recruitment under the CPDK (Calon Pimpinan Daerah) program now open to graduates from state universities like Unila.
Advisor to the Governor of Lampung Province (Ganjar Jatiyono – Alumnus) underlined the need to integrate economic philosophy, critical thinking, and systems design into the learning process and stressed the importance of strengthening industry-linked laboratory facilities.
Bank Indonesia (Reni Wulandari – Alumna) called for enhanced exposure to Islamic economics, fintech awareness, English proficiency, and case-based learning to improve student engagement and industry readiness.
Zaki Oktarian (Business Digital undergraduate student) observed students’ difficulty in analyzing economic issues from digital media and proposed strengthening in-class discussions and public speaking confidence.
Telkomsel (Yovan Jauhari & Daniel) shared insights from the tech sector, emphasizing public speaking, networking, and knowledge of IoT and AI as competitive advantages in the digital era. Telkomsel also offered collaboration through T-Survey as a tool to support education and research.
🧭 Curriculum Direction and Follow-Up
This curriculum workshop marked a significant milestone in the ongoing effort to develop a curriculum that is increasingly adaptive, collaborative, and forward-looking, integrating economic philosophy, critical thinking, digital literacy, and 21st-century skills.
The program will follow up on the input gathered by revising the curriculum, developing interactive learning modules, and establishing concrete industry collaborations for internships, guest lectures, and student soft skills development.
